Nasolabial line (smile line) treatment

Nasolabial lines are deep wrinkles or lines that form from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth. While they’re extremely common, their severity can vary, and a deep fold can make you look older than you truly are. They can typically be seen when smiling, but over time can deepen. It’s also common following weight loss that the loss of facial volume can create hollows and accentuate the lines.

To treat this area, the nasolabial filler is typically combined with other facial treatments such as anti-wrinkle Toxin injections, or dermal filler in other areas such as lip or cheek filler for flawless results.

What is involved in nasolabial treatment?

Nasolabial treatment involves small injections of dermal filler directly into the lines, adding volume and reducing their appearance. This is often a great preventative treatment for looking after your skin too, using filler will prevent the lines from deepening.

How long does it last?

The dermal filler will last 6-12 months. Results can be topped up as needed, at any time during those 6-12 months, or anytime after this period.

Will it hurt?

An anaesthetic numbing cream will be applied to the area ahead of injecting. This will minimise discomfort. However, the filler itself also contains lidocaine which will optimise comfort levels throughout. Additionally, as Dr. Aicken has vast experience in injecting dermal filler, his injection technique will also limit discomfort.

What is the downtime?

As with all injections, it is possible that some slight bruising will occur afterward, along with some possible swelling. We ask that you try to refrain from touching the area directly after too, or going to sleep directly after. That being said, as treatments go, there is very little downtime, and after 12 hours makeup can be applied.

What will it cost?

Our nasolabial dermal filler is £230 for 1ml and then £100 for every 1ml after that.
