Hyalase (hyaluronidase)

Of course we all carry hyalase with us now for emergency cases of skin ischaemia (don’t we?); but what guidance is there for making it up and using it for non-emergency cases, such as dissolving unwanted lumps of dermal filler/hyaluronic acid?

I get asked every week now by aesthetics colleagues how to use hyalase. I’m happy to share my very limited experience of it – but have always been a little nervous doing so because I’m aware that it’s ‘off license’ use that I’m being asked to advise on.

Thanks to The Aesthetic Complications Expert Group, Save Face, Galderma, AQTIS and the BACN for this useful document, entitled “The Use of Hyaluronidase in Aesthetic Practice”.
